Q) What is the Tulfarris 10 Race?

A) It is a road running race in a scenic area overlooking the beautiful Blessington lakes and along the foothills of the Wicklow mountains.

The route will be an accurately measured 10 mile loop on quiet country roads.

There will be two water stations on the route at ~ 5 miles and~ 7.5 miles

 

Q) What is the Tulfarris "Not so Tough" 5k Race?

A) It is a 5km run / walk event on quiet country roads starting and finishing at Tulfarris hotel

Q) What is the cost of entry for the 10 Mile Event?

Early Bird Entries (until 31st March) - €29

Regular Entries: (1st April until 31st July) - €35

Late or On The Day Entries (1st to 5th Aug) - (€40) - Now €35!

Costs Quoted are Fully Inclusive of a tech tee (ladies and gent's specific design), chip timing and all Entry Charges

 

Q) What is the cost of entry to the 5km event

A) The cost of entry is €15 - this does not include for a technical tee in order to keep the cost of entry down but does include for chip timing and all entry charges

Q) Is entry cost inclusive of the on-line entry system provider’s commission?

A) Yes – The entry cost is inclusive of this commission for both races

Q) What are categories for prizes?

A) There will be prizes for top Male / Female finishers in both Open (First 3), first Vet (O 40) in theTulfarris Tough 10

Prizes will be awarded to the first man and first woman in the 5km Run/ Walk event which is generally designed to encourage participation

Prizegiving at approx 1.15pm at the finish area

Q) Where and when is registration?

A) Race Check-in for allocation of number, timing chip, etc at RACE HQ at Tulfarris Hotel:

Saturday 6th August: 09.00 to 10.15 for the Tough 10 and 08.30 to 11.00 for the 5km run/walk event

In order to have the route exactly 10 miles the Tulfarris Tough 10 event will start approx 1 km from the assembly area at 11.00

Both races will finish at Tulfarris Hotel

Race Start Time is 11.00 for the 10 mile event and 11.30 for the 5km event

Please Note: Nothing is sent to you in the post before the event, everything you require to take part in the event is issued at Race HQ.

Q) Can I take part in any of the events and raise money for a Charity?

A) Yes, you are more than welcome to enter the Tulfarris 10 or 5km run/walk and raise money for your chosen charity.

Yon may chose to raise money from your participation in the event for any charity but this is a personal decision and there is no minimum sponsorship requirement to enter or participate in either race.

Q) Do I get a T-Shirt with my entry?

A) As part of your entry to the Tulfarris Tough 10 we have technical running tees for all entrants included in your entry

Please fill in this section at the registration stage and indicate what size you require

Technical Top orders and exact sizes cannot be guaranteed due to delivery and printing lead times for Entries after 31st July so please enter now to ensure you get your requested Technical Top

Please note that in order to keep the entry cost down to encourage participation there will not be technical tees included in the cost of entry (€15) for the 5km run/walk event

Q) Will there be a "goody" bag?

A) No - We prefer to keep the quality of the actual event up and the costs down for the benefit of competitors.
Information on local amenities and other events will be available at Registration and on the links section of our website.
We encourage you to arrive early or stay on after the event to enjoy all that West Wicklow has to offer.

Q) Is there a lower age limit for the event?

A) Yes, the minimum age for the 10 mile event is 18 and for the 5km event is 15 - No maximum age or time to complete the course

Q) What age qualifies as Vet category?

A) We will have Over 40 Vet classes for both Male & Female

Classes will be applicable to your age on the day

i.e. Vet to be born on or before 6th Aug 1971, Super Vet to be born on or before 6th Aug 1961
